Janet Jackson, 55, of Alamogordo, passed away Friday, April 18, 2008, at her home.
Janet was born Oct. 17, 1952, in Roswell to Wallace J. and Wanda (Ayers) Kraemer. She moved to Alamogordo in 1969 and graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1971. She was a member of First Assembly Worship Center where she was an active volunteer.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Paul Jackson, of the family home; two sons, Paul Justin Jackson and his wife, Sophie, of Ruidoso, and Ryan Christopher Jackson, of Las Cruces; her father, Wallace "Wally" Kraemer, of Alamogordo; a brother, Timothy Kraemer, of Fredericksburg, Va.; her father-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Beth Jackson, of Alamogordo; a brother-in-law, Sam Jackson, and his wife, Ralana, of Alamogordo; two sisters-in-law, Audrey Rice and her husband, John, of Ruidoso, and Dee Thorton and her husband, Chuck, of Brenham, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the First Assembly Worship Center, 10th and Florida, with Pastor David Crispin officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Drunzer, Bert Beach, Shelby Miller, Pete Lejahe, Les Busby, Bryce Cochran and Donald Weber.
Services are under the direction of Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home.
