Matthew Cordova Obituary
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Eluterio Cordova and Isidro Mendez ""Childo""; uncles Jerry Cordova and David Mendez; and aunt Maggie Holguin.
Survivors include his mother, Priscilla Cordova; stepfather, Juan Estrada; father, Isidro Mendez Jr.; stepmother, Monica Mendez; sisters Lydia Mendez and Alyssa Cordova; stepsister Myra Estrada; brother Angel Cordova; stepbrothers Alberto Pulga, Pelon Pulga and Juna Estrada Jr.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He also left behind his girlfriend, Moriah Hall, and numerous friends.
Rosary will be recited for Matthew at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 705 Delaware Ave., Alamogordo. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. following the rosary.
Pallbearers include Lydia Mendez, Daniel Cordova, Bobby Ortega, David Joe Ortega, Sonny Gutierrez, Alberto Pulga, Jerry Ortega and Chris Apadaca. Honorary pallbearers are Angel Cordova, Armando Gutierrez, Ray Ortega, Estevan Anaya, Max Romero, Gurillmo Coyazo, Enrique Robles, Augostine Perez and Angel Gonzales.
The family will greet friends from 9 to 10:30 a.m. before the rosary at the church.
The Cordova family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the funeral services.

I did not know Matthew very well but he was always so sweet and polite, what a beautiful young person, inside and out...he will be missed. My love, prayers and understanding go out to his family. I feel for your loss! God bless and be with you during this difficult time.

I love you guys with all my heart, and I will keep each and every one of you in my prayers. I loved Matthew, so much, and I know he will be missed.
