Benjamin Hodges Obituary

Benjamin Franklin "B.F." Hodges of Leesburg, GA, died Monday, July 21, 2025 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Mr. Scott Price will officiate. Interment will follow at Thundering Springs Cemetery.

B.F. was born in Nashville, GA., to the late Hillie and Odell Hodges. B.F. owned and operated Bennetts Supply Company for forty-six years. He not only ran the business; he knew the feed and seed business. B.F. farmed, raised cattle and pigs and knew everything about the agriculture industry. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching his grandchildren race stock cars. He was of the Christian faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-two years Elaine Hodges, whom he missed greatly, a daughter, Sherrie Hodges Wiggins and his siblings.

Survivors include a son, Billy Hodges (Joel White), a son in law, John Eubanks, three grandchildren, Colby Eubanks, Landon Wiggins (Trista) and Payton Eubanks, and four great grandchildren, Emmet, Bella, Ethan and Edge

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Mr. Hodges to the Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607.
