Sheril Lindsey Obituary

Sheril Joiner Lindsey of Poulan, GA died Thursday, April 24, 2025 at Atrium Health Navient in Macon. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. David Wolfe will officiate.

Sheril was born in Colquitt, GA to the late Lewis Joiner and Irene Cross Hart. She retired from Bainbridge Mills after many years of faithful service. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching the show Heartland and cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs. In her earlier years, she enjoyed bowling and crocheting. Sheril was a foodie that enjoyed good cooking. Above all else, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Durham. Sheril was a member of Travelers Rest Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Durham, her grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Brittaney Durham (Ashley Williams), Kayla Durham, Brandon Peace (Destiny Peace), nine great grandchildren, Kaylen, Chloe, Natalie, Brylee, Kayden, Bentley, Rayleigh, Harper and Kace, as well as a special friend Billy Webb.

The family will receive family/friends in Poulan following the service at the funeral home.
