JUAN GUERRA Jr.

JUAN GUERRA JR. Alice - Juan Guerra Jr. 63, years of age passed away on August 5, 2023, after a short illness, in a Corpus Christi hospital with his loving family by his bedside. He was born on May 16, 1960, in Alice Texas to Juan Guerra Sr. and Esperanza Ortiz Martinez. Juan dedicated 41 years of his life to working in the oilfield industry. He always made sure he provided for his family. Juan also enjoyed working outside and watering his chile Plants, but what he enjoyed the most was seeing his grandchildren grow. He will be remembered for his love of fishing, the Dallas Cowboys, and his amazing big smile. Juan had a great sense of humor like no other, you were guaranteed to laugh. He is preceded in death by his parents Juan(+Rafela) Guerra Sr., Esperanza Ortiz (+ Adan) Martinez, his father-in-law Julian Medrano Sr., one sister Luz Maria Guerra, one brother Mario Luis Guerra and one niece Leslie Guerra. Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years of marriage Gracie Guerra of Alice, Texas, one son Jason Guerra of Alice, Texas, two daughters Melissa Ann (J.R. Benavides) Guerra and Felicia Ann (Amy) Guerra both of Alice, Texas, one grandson Blake Hodges, three granddaughter Desirae, Jaydean, and Delilah, two sisters Petra (Frank) Mendoza of Alice, Texas and Lynn Cuevas of Corpus Christi, Texas. other survivors include his mother-in-law San Juanita Medrano, two brothers in law Oscar Medrano, Julian (Elizabeth) Medrano, three sisters in law Margie Medrano, Olga (Augustin) Vasquez, San Juanita Guerra and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. The family received family and friends Friday August 11, 2023, at 5:00 P.M. at Rosas Funeral Home. A prayer service was conducted at 7:00 P.M. that same evening. Funeral service was conducted Saturday August 12, 2023, at 10 :00 A.M. at Stone Gate Baptist Church of Alice, Texas. Burial followed at the New Collins Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were John Guerra, John Soliz, Juan Montejano, Augustin Vasquez III, Rey Chavarria, Role Chavarria, Daniel Reyna, and Nani Sanchez Rosas Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
