Thomas Joe "Tommy" Bosworth Thomas Joe "Tommy" Bosworth, 72, of San Marcos, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. He was born in Alice, Texas on September 13, 1950. His parents were R.L.Bosworth and Betty Joy Lykins Bosworth. His cherished grandparents, Chester and Iva Lykins, were influential in his formative years. Tommy attended schools in Alice and Freer, Texas. He attended Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, and served in the National Guard. He became a firefighter and retired from the San Marcos Fire Department. He loved the camaraderie that firefighters enjoy. Tommy's love of nature was evident in his hobbies that included fishing, hunting and gardening. He loved his dogsman's best friend. He is survived by his family members including brothers David Bosworth of Charlotte, N.C. and Gary Bosworth (Debbie) of Comfort, Texas. Others include nieces, nephews and cousins who will remember Tommy's adventurous spirit. He also had many life-long friends who were like family to him. A memorial and celebration of life will be held at a later time. Arrangements are under the direction of Thomason Funeral Home.
