San Diego - William Byron Medina 57, years of age passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at his residence with his beloved family by his bedside. He was born on October 29, 1963 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Juan De Dios Medina and Carolyn Joan Hudson. Willie as everyone that knew him called him by. Willie was a truck Driver. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and great friend. He enjoyed family outings and gatherings.
Willie is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Joan Hudson and his mother-in-law, Emeteria Garcia.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years of marriage, Olinda G. Medina of San Diego, Texas; one son, Carlos Omar (Bianca) Gonzalez of Corpus Christi, Texas; three daughters, Neva (Chris) Valdez of Portland, Texas, Carla (Ruben) Soliz and Meagan (Robert Davila) Gonzalez both of San Diego, Texas; his father, Juan De Dios Medina of Alice, Texas; two brothers, John Walter Medina and Chuck (Merlinda Alfaro) Medina both of Alice, Texas; two sisters, Donna Denise Medina of Alice, Texas and Darla Escobedo of Corpus Christi, Texas and ten grandchildren: Alexia Soliz, Adalyn Gonzalez, Carlee Soliz, Tyler Gonzalez, Reagan Davila, Ruben Soliz II, Christopher Valdez Jr., Natalie Valdez, Cylis Valdez, and Chloey valdez, one special Niece Lekzi Cadena, his father in law Carlos (Leandra) Garcia of San Diego, Texas and one sister in law, Leslie (Jose Vidal) Garcia and numerous nieces and nephews and friends and his extended family from South Texas Trucking and trenching Armando Benavides and son.
Family will receive friends and relatives at 12 Noon on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Rosas Funeral Home until 3:00 P.M. Funeral procession will depart at 3:00 P.M. from the Funeral Home to St. Joseph Catholic church for a 3:30 P.M. Mass. Burial will follow at the San Diego Cemetery.
