Doris (Mrs. Kenyon) was my favorite nursing teacher in 1980 at Amarillo College. She was so "Smart" in neurological nursing. Her countenance and demeanor were one of wisdom, kindness, and gentleness. She carried herself with confidence, honor, and dignity as she walked swiftly through the halls of the hospital taking care of her students wearing her Northwest Texas Hospital School of Nursing cap proudly. I have always called her a "Class act". I last saw Doris in 2009 when she attended a function at Amarillo College where I was a professor of nursing. I told her she was a "Class act" She said in a humorous way and impish smile, "You know--you could have made an "A" in my class if you worked a little harder, but you've done well". The picture is from May 1981 to my graduating class. Doris is standing stately and proudly in the front row. Love, Richard Pullen.

I will always remember what a great teacher Ms. Kenyon was. Half the reason I am still a nurse today.
