Gerald Foreman Obituary

Jerry B. Foreman, 88, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2018 at home in Frisco, TX to the melody of "Please Don't Talk About Me When I'm Gone". His wife, Nancy was by his side.

He was born on September 14, 1929 in Lockney, TX. He grew up in Amarillo, TX attending Amarillo High School and Amarillo College. He had a long career in masonry and construction which took him all over the United States and Bahamas, making many new friends along the way. He kept in touch with all of them doing his part to keep "Ma Bell" busy on a daily basis. Jerry never met a stranger. If he met you, you didn't forget him. He was an avid reader all his life, averaging 3 to 4 books a week. His colorful conversation and charismatic personality never failed him.

Jerry enjoyed several years of retirement in Amarillo cooking his "groceries" and Farmer's Market produce for family and friends. He loved to entertain.

In 2006 he moved to Ada, OK where he was employed by Big Red Tree Farms as "Clerk of the Works". In 2009 he married the love of his life, Nancy O'Brien Allen Stocking. They had 9 happy years together. Eight years were spent on the tree farm in Wynnewood, OK where they tended to the trees and gardens. He would take their dog, Sam, out every day to walk the farm. It was a sight to behold as Sam ran...Jerry drove.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Reba Foreman and a sister, Donnie Foreman. He is survived by his wife, Nancy. Daughters: Jaynet Davis, Danna J. Krause and husband, Billy (aka: Jerry's best friend) and son in law, Tommy Davis, all of Amarillo, TX. Grandchildren: Michael DiBiase of Amarillo, TX, John Lewis of Dubai, UAE, Katheryn Massey and husband, Shelby of Dallas, TX and William Krause of Austin, TX. Five great grandchildren and his beloved Labrador, Sam.

His bonus family included John and Vicky Allen of Homestead, FL, John & Judy Clower of Colleyville, TX and Mike Allen of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Don and Susan Stocking of Conroe, TX. Sister in law, Bettye Herrmann of Amarillo, TX. Grandchildren: J.J. Allen and wife, Courtney, Stephanie Spencer and husband Neal, Mark Gervig and wife, Lisa, Melissa Gervig, Megan Allen, Mike Allen Jr and Suzie Stocking. Seven great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.

Memorials may be made to Polk Street United Methodist Church or favorite charity.
