Jim was always such a breath of fresh air anytime I saw him. He would often come in to our store, Four
R Supply, and visit. He was a good customer and friend. He would spend time talking to my father,
Bob Curry. He would say he was learning from the pro. Since we sold the business, I would run into Jim occasionally and always have a good visit. The last time I saw him was at the Coney Island in Pampa. He was so proud to introduce me to his son, Jerrod. He was very proud of his son. I will miss Jim. He differently left a mark that will be remembered by us all. God's peace and grace be with all of you.

Judy and Jerrod, It was such a shock when I got back from my vacation and heard that J.J. had passed away. I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with him for several years and when we both changed jobs, he would stop by occassionaly to say hi. It was such a pleasure to know him. J.J. is one I never got to meet although my son and I had talked of it numerous times. I spent 38 years with Halliburton so had many business opportunities with Service Drilling. My son was with Weatherford and that was how he knew him. I know Mark thought a great deal of J.J. We are sorry for your loss and I certainly wish I had made time for that meeting years ago.

Jimmy was one of my first childhood friends. We grew up as friends and neighbors. He'll always be missed. Here is what I wrote about Jimmy on Facebook: "To the little boy that was my next-door neighbor who taught me how to build dirt roads with a garden hoe for our trucks. Then he showed me how to build a cattle guard. To the little boy that gave me my first stitches and taught me that I should learn to duck when rocks are involved. To the teenager that begged for a ride home after a football game and I charged him 2 cokes for the ride for both Karen and I. Then he complained because we bought large-sized cokes (well probably Dr Peppers) from the Apache Drive In. To the young man that thought so much of my dad, you called him DaddyO. (He thought the world of you too.) To the family man that you became Im positive you were a great dad and husband. RIP my friend, Gone to soon, JJ. Love and hugs to your family."
