Kristopher Youngberg Obituary
Memorial Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Central Church of Christ in Amarillo with Mr. Allan Stanglin, senior minister officiating. A reception will be held following the service at the church. Arrangements are by Adams Funeral Home of Wellington.
He was born on September 20, 1977, in Topeka, KS to Howard and Bonnie Youngberg. He graduated from Washburn Rural High School and Allen County Community College in Iola, KS, where he played baseball. He also played baseball at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, TN.
He married Misty Barton on March 12, 2003. They moved to Amarillo from Albuquerque in 2014.
He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1999 as a reservist for 8 years during which time he was deployed to IRAQ in 2005. He has worked in private security and for a sheriff's department. He started working as a federal agent for the Department of Energy in 2010.
He was an avid Kansas University, Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and most of all spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by mother Bonnie Youngberg and grandparents, Miles Edgar Reese, May Naida "Beatrice" (McCoy) Reese, Leonard Milo Youngberg and Anna Elizabeth (Dunn) Youngberg.
He is survived by his wife Misty Youngberg; daughter Aspen Youngberg and son Easton Youngberg all of Amarillo; his father Howard Youngberg; sister Trisha Massey and nephews Colby Massey and Jaxon Sharples all of Topeka and Misty's parents Jerry and Sherri Barton of Quail.

Kris,
I never had the pleasure of meeting your wife and kids but, my heart and prayers are with them. You were one of my first supervisors when I began my law enforcement career at Cleveland County, almost 12 years ago. I remember being impressed by your high standards of character and the unwavering morality you displayed. Thank you for investing your time to teach myself and so many others. Rest in peace.
