Miles was born on October 6, 1981 in Amarillo to Susie White and the late Jack D Liston Jr. He was a 2000 graduate of Tascosa High School. Miles married Hayley Hilton on March 15, 2003 in Sunray, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack D Liston Jr.

Miles is survived by his wife, Hayley Hilton Liston of Amarillo; two daughters, Elizabeth Anne Liston and Olivia Paige Liston, both of Amarillo; his mother, Susie White and husband Bill of Amarillo; his siblings, Lauren Liston Jones and husband Christopher of Manhattan, Kansas, Christian Liston Reid and husband Craig of Englewood, Colorado, Elizabeth Liston Jahn of Amarillo, Jack D Liston III and wife Marti, of Dallas; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Robbie and Philip Hilton of Lubbock; two brothers-in-law, Philip Hilton and wife Ashlee of Ft. Worth, and Jacob Hilton and wife Kristina of Golden, Colorado; one sister-in-law, Rachael Kemp and husband Bryan of Wellington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Miles is best known for his devotion to his family. He enjoyed trips to the mountains, movies and music, and spending time with friends, especially if that meant eating Thai food or drinking strong coffee. Miles loved to cook. He always prepared enough food to feed an army. Miles had a very kind heart and quick wit and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Elizabeth Anne Liston and Olivia Paige Liston Scholarship Fund at Happy State Bank.

Extending sympathy and love to his family and friends. Miles and I grew up together; like his father, there was a generous love about him, he will always be in my heart. With his passing, I wish for an ease and understanding to surround his loved ones as they move thru their grief. Life is so very sort, and long, and beautiful.
