Freda Mae Walker Bailey

Freda Mae Walker Bailey, 79, of Deridder, LA, passed from this life on Friday, August 6, 2021.
Freda was a homemaker for years, then later a CNA. She was a caregiver to all; she took care of everyone she met and she never met a stranger. Freda was a loving mother, MawMaw and aunt. She underwent dialysis for ten years; she made a family there! She was lovingly known as KPLC.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Greg Bailey and Kelly of Kipling, LA; daughters, Kim Witherwax and Dwight of Ragley, LA, Patty Doyle and Waylon of DeRidder, LA; grandchildren, Tyler Weaver and Lindsey, Hollie Weaver, Justin Bailey, Josey Bailey and fiancé, Hunter Sharp, Bailey Doyle, Kable Doyle, Emberli Doyle; three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelton Bailey; parents, Frederick and Ruby Mae Walker; brothers, Ira "Sonny" Walker, Danny Walker, infant twins; sisters, Barbara Wygant, Shirley Haire, Rebecca Walker.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hopewell Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA. Funeral service will be Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM also at Hopewell Baptist Church. Brother Bob Harper and Reverend John Gray will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Justin Bailey, Brett Bushnell, Cricket Bailey, Mike Weaver, Mike Cooley, Josh Bailey, Erik Bailey, TJoe Harper and Peyton Ardoin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bailey Doyle, Kable Doyle, Tyler Weaver, Hunter Sharp, Tommy Welch, Zack Davis, Jamie Booth, Floyd Wygant, Rich Wygant, Dan Haired, Curtis Jackson, Daulton Ardoin and Jason Thompson. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery in Deridder, LA.
Services are under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder, LA.
