1937 - 2020

Mae Jorry Ann Duos, age 82, of Vinton, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2020. Mae was born September 10, 1937.
Mae "Jorry" grew up in Mamou, Louisiana and spoke both English and Cajun French. Family was very important to Jorry, her husband, Ronald was the love of her life. Jorry adored her grandchildren and they adored her. She would often gather with family and close friends. She loved to fish, cook, play pokeno, and was an avid reader.
Her Catholic religion and her Faith were important to her and she enjoyed being a member of the Catholic Daughters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald J. Duos, her parents, Odius and Lula Hebert, sister, Janelle Tate, and her brother, Joseph Hebert.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Sabrina LeDoux and husband, Gary and Sandra Hansel and wife, Cynthia Chambers; grandchildren, William Hansel III (Christie), Cory LeDoux (Christian), Sarah Wright (Jeremy), and Brenna LeDoux; great-grandchildren, Alison Hansel, Dominic Wright, Talan Deal, and Austen LeDoux; many cousins, Godchildren, and friends.
On Tuesday, August 4, 2020, visitation will begin from 10 a.m. until time of the Rosary service at 2:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vinton, Louisiana.
The family is aware of our current difficult circumstances and will plan a "Celebration of Life" memorial service at a later date for those who may not be able to attend.
The family is asking that anyone planning to attend the viewing wear a mask. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1502 Industrial Street, Vinton, LA 70668.
