What a wonderful person. I was an undergrad at ISU and she was always a most caring and helpful person, with such a great spirit and positive energy about her! I graduated from ISU in 1996 and to this day remember her!

I loved going to the wool festivals with Marrie. She taught me many things about sheep and wool. Marrie also taught me how to spin that wool and gave me the confidence and tips on how to dye that wool many different colors... she knew that I loved colorful knitted items and would not be satisfied with just plain white and gray colors. I only went to her acreage a couple times, but loved how she was very independent and loved nature. I was glad she kept a couple of her saddles when she moved back to Ames. Those saddles reminded her of happy times when she rode her horses. Most of all, I’m glad that she keep a lot of that New Yorker personality while living in Iowa. She was definitely an interesting person and I’m glad she came into my life. She will be missed greatly.

I so enjoyed my time with Marrie. She was a natural teacher and my visits to the acreage were always filled with new experiences. My heart goes out to you. Cherished memories.
