Armand Raymond Pitre Sr.

Armand Raymond Pitre Sr., of Pearl River, Louisiana, passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 79. He was born on September 20, 1946, in the vibrant city of New Orleans, Louisiana, to his loving parents, the late Merlin Pitre and Lydia Lambert Pitre. Armand is the beloved husband of 58 years to Rita Laviolette Pitre; cherished father of Christine Pitre Norton and Armand Raymond Pitre Jr. (Sherri Brunet Pitre); proud grandfather of Courtney Lynn Nuttall (Max), Armand R. Pitre III (Mayson), Zachary T. Norton (Bayli), and Kylie Alexis Pitre Orlando (Samuel); great-grandfather of Naveah J. Norton; and adored brother of James R. Pitre, Judy Albers, Merlee Thomassie, and the late Patricia Pitre. He also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends, all of whom he loved greatly. Armand attended Delgado Junior College and later embarked on a career as a Technology Service Technician. His work not only showcased his technical skills but also his commitment to service and excellence. Armand was a man of many interests and talents. He had a passion for fishing, a pastime that brought him both joy and tranquility. His ability to tinker with small motors and fix just about anything earned him the reputation of being a jack of all trades. Armand's generous nature and willingness to lend a hand were evident to all who knew him, and he had the biggest heart ever. Armand was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
