Curtis William Miley

Curtis William Miley, 65, of Watson, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2025. He was born on February 4, 1960, in San Francisco, California, to Burns and Barbara Miley. Curtis took pride in his work in construction and heavy machinery operation. He helped build many projects across the community. He was a devoted husband and father, who loved Jesus, his family, and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bluegrass music, and telling stories on the front porch or at the dining table. If you ever had the pleasure of sharing a cup of coffee with Curtis, you likely also shared a cup of coffee with Jesus. He loved to share the gospel. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Cecile Miley; their children Laney Miley and Landon Miley; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Burns Miley and Barbara Miley. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 1 at Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11-2 with services beginning at 2 and burial to follow at New Bethlehem Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
