Frances Painting Wheat

Frances went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 25, 2025. She was a native of Amite, Louisiana and a resident of Livingston, Louisiana. Frances was a longtime member of Red Oak Baptist Church, where she loved to spend time fellowshipping with her church family and praising the Lord. In Frances's spare time, she could be found tending to her garden and enjoying the outdoors. When she wasn't gardening, you could find her on the water with a fishing pole in her hand. Frances was a remarkable Mother and Grandmother, and she was her happiest when she was surrounded by her family. She was a light to all who knew her and she will be forever missed. Frances is survived by her daughters, Relma, Diane, and Theresa (Kenny); sons, Jesse and Prentis (Laura); sister, Dot Griffin; Grandchildren, Shawna (Russ), Charlie, Jessica (Thomas), Cole Jr. (Johnna), Crystal (Rodney), Amy (Chad), Katie, Adam (Courtney), Sara (Jared), Hana (Matt), Myra, Macie, and Emily; 24 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Frances is preceded in death by her husband, Charles "CK" Wheat; parents, Ernest, Myrtle, and step father, Herman; Sisters, Ernestine, Pearl and Nancy; brother, James; Daughter, Cathy, and Great Great Grandchild, Riley. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to a visitation at Red Oak Baptist Church in Livingston on Monday, September 1, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m. Internment to follow at Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery after the service.
