I remember you and Johnnie from many years back! I even remember when you wore the yellow and white dress when you were pregnant to a wedding. He will be kissed. Please take care and know that life goes on with our ability to have great memories of our life.

I met Mr. John while riding my bike in our neighborhood about 9 years ago while he was sitting in his lawn chair at the end of his garage. I had so many interesting conversations with him, he said what he meant, and meant what he said, and I admired that about him. When I first started talking to him, he did not call me by name, he called me “CHALMETTE” . He always had wonderful stories to share about his beautiful wife Linda, his 3 daughters and his grandchildren. I use to call him the “EVER READY BUNNY” . He has faced so much illness and so much loss in his life, yet he continued to fight and move forward, he had a fighting spirit, and I will sure miss Mr. John!

My deepest condolences, Linda. You and Johnny were the best neighbors ever! We came back from one of our many trips to MD Anderson to find that Johnny had cut our grass for us. And we all know how much Johnny hated to cut grass! Testimony to the kind of man Johnny was.
