Visitation
Sep. 20, 2025
10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
The Mission Church
It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and grandson, Lance, who was taken from us far too soon in a tragic auto accident.
We will forever cherish his kind and sensitive heart, his thoughtful conversations as he navigated his life's journey, and his boundless love for his children and family. We will miss the sparkle in his blue eyes and the warmth of his presence.
In a beautiful testament to his faith, God answered our prayers with a sign, just one day after his passing. We found his well-worn notebook, on the last page, dated August 30, 2025, he had written: God accepts me just as I am. God forgive me for my sins. The sins I'm aware of and the sins I'm not aware of and future sins.
Lance, thank you for this special gift. It is a profound comfort to know you are with Jesus. Our love for you is constant, unconditional, and eternal. We ask for your prayers as we walk through this difficult time.
Lance is survived by his father, Lynnest Paul Hoover; mother, Debbora Davis Hoover; children, Landon, Caiden, Audrina, and Lance, Jr,; brother and sister-in-law, Bret & Brandy Hoover; grandmother, Catherine Arnold Davis; nephews, Sawyer, Beckett, and Waylon; aunts and uncles, John Schexnayder, Billy Hoover, Elroy & Susan Hoover, Darline & Travis Cooper, Randy Bardwell, and Richard Hoover; and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alma Gates, Daniel Hoover, and James Davis; aunts and uncles, Glenda Schexnayder, Gilbert & Belinda Hoover, David & Mattie Hoover, and Gayle Bardwell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at The Mission Church, 41347 W 1-55 Service Road, Hammond, Louisiana 70403, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM.
