Larry Fussell Obituary

Larry G. Fussell of Poplarville, Mississippi passed away at his residence on September 3, 2025. Larry was born June 11, 1941, in Tylertown, MS to Carl and Alma Fussell. Raised in Enon, LA on his parents' dairy farm where his love of the outdoors and horses became his passion in life. He grew up in the Bogue Chitto swamp Squirrel Hunting and fishing with his father, brother JM and Uncles Tillman and Ray Richardson. His biggest passion became Quail hunting and his bird dogs along with Turkey hunting. Larry became a banker and worked in the banking business for over 40 years before retiring and going to work for the Pearl River County Sheriff's Office for another 12 years. Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Alma Fussell, brother JM (Mary Nell) Fussell, sister Carolyn (Ken) Murrell and one nephew Mitch Murrell. Left to cherish his memories are his two sons Kevin Fussell (Sally) and Chris Fussell, grandchildren Raymond Greer (Kristen), Shelby Pritchard (Jay), McKenna Fussell and Brayden Fussell. Three great grandchildren Christen, Eli and Emilia. One sister Peaches Waller (Paul) and four nephews and one niece. Also, Larrys closest friends Al Hebert and Darriel Seals. Visitation will be held at Enon Baptist Church on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00a.m. until the service time of 12:00 noon. Inurnment will follow in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
