Lindsey Bertucci Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lindsey Wren Bertucci, who left us far too soon on July 24, 2025. Born on October 29, 1986, in Metairie, Louisiana, Lindsey brought a light into the world that touched everyone who knew her. Lindsey was a devoted daughter, sister, and mother. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Wren Elizabeth Lea; her mother, Terri Calcote Bermudez; her father, Randall Stephen Bertucci; her second father, Rafael Adam Bermudez; her sisters, Claire Bermudez Knight (Carlton) and Emily Bermudez Albin (Jarrett); her aunt, Vicki Calcote Laurent; her stepbrothers, Anthony Stephen Bertucci and Dominic Lastat Bertucci; and her aunts, Cindy Walters and Sandy Simon. From a young age, Lindsey showed a wild, creative spirit and a generous heart. She loved to draw and had a gift for connecting with others. She made friends everywhere she went and had a unique ability to make people feel seen, heard, and loved. Her deep kindness and forgiving nature defined her, as she truly became best friends with everyone she met. Lindsey graduated from Saint Scholastica Academy in Covington, Louisiana and Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana. She had a passion for helping others, which led her to a career in the medical field. Her compassion extended beyond her work, and even in her passing, she gave the most priceless gift of all: The Gift of Life. Through organ donation, Lindsey was able to save eight lives. Her family invites everyone to take a moment to consider becoming an organ donor or having a conversation with their loved ones about it. A funeral service celebrating Lindsey's life will be held on Thursday, July 31st, 2025 at noon, at St. Anselm Catholic Church in Madisonville, Louisiana. Lindsey's love, laughter and light will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. E. J. Fielding Funeral Home of Covington, Louisiana, is honored to be entrusted with Miss Bertucci's funeral arrangements. Her family invites you to share thoughts, memories, and condolences by signing an online guestbook at https://www.ejfieldingfh.com.

I am heartbroken to read this about Lindsey and will surely include all of you especially little Wren in my prayers. For nearly two years I worked a post retirement job at a convenience store early mornings and saw Lindsey nearly every morning for quite a while. She was always kind and sweet to me. We were on a first name basis. I tried to encourage her when sadness became apparent. She was just what you said sweet, kind and a bright light. I will never forget her this beautiful young lady. God comfort and keep all of you.
