Michael Arthur Rau

Michael Arthur Rau, at the age of 72, passed away on September 11, 2025. He served in the United States Army in the infantry division. Michael was a huge Green Bay Packers fan and loved to cheer them on. For him laughter flowed as easily as the beer he enjoyed. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Michael was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and is already greatly missed by all those that loved him. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Rhonda D. Rau; beloved daughter, Samantha McEachern (Bubba); daughters of his heart, Melissa DePaula Henderson, Amanda DePaula, and Kayla DePaula; sister, Chyrl Wood, and 10 grandchildren. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Rau and Evelyn Majesty Hano; brothers, Buster Hano, Timmy Hano, Ray Hano, and Eddie Hano. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation from the Chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home, 1190 Hwy 51 North Ponchatoula, LA. on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. A Cremation will be held afterwards.
