Patricia Ann Leibe

Patricia Ann Leibe, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on October 10, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on August 19, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Patricia embraced the world with a joyous heart and a kind spirit. The daughter of Floyd Donellan and Marion C. Donellan, Patricia grew up nourished by love and a strong sense of family, values she carried close to her heart throughout her life. Her love story with her cherished husband, Wayne Leibe, spanned an extraordinary 62 years, a testament to their commitment and deep affection for one another. Patricia is the beloved mother of Chad F. Leibe (Melissa) and the late Wayne C. Leibe (Tammy), and proud grandmother of Noah, Chloe, Calli, and Mackenzie, who will forever cherish their grandmother's gentle guidance and unconditional love. Her caring spirit will also live on in the memories of her sister, Gayle D. Smith (Buford), as well as her nephews, Gary, David, and Rick Smith, all of whom she love dearly. A graduate of John McDonough High School, Class of 1961, Patricia's academic achievements were only the beginning of a life marked by dedication and service. Her career as an Administrative Assistant within the school system was not just a job but a way for her to contribute positively to her community. Faith played a central role in Patricia's life. Her Christian beliefs gave her strength and provided a foundation of hope and charity that she shared generously with those around her. Patricia was an avid bird watcher, finding solace in the beauty of nature and the simple pleasures it provided. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, embracing every moment as a gift and creating a treasury of memories filled with laughter, guidance, and unconditional support. Patricia's life was not about grand gestures but the gentle touch of a hand, the warmth of a smile, and the kind words that can turn a day around. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Audubon Funeral Home in Slidell. A funeral service will begin in the chapel at noon. Patricia will be laid to rest in the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.
