Robert Talley Obituary
Robert "Robby" Talley, age 50, a resident of Lacombe, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, July 3rd, 2025, in Tomball, Texas, with his family by his side. Born in the winter of 1975, January 22nd, Robby was an energetic loving kid. He loved playing his Atari and basketball in the driveway, tormenting his little brother on the concrete court. He, as a rebel, chose to root for the rival 49ers over the hometown Saints. He followed his heart, and in his late teenage years moved to Chicago. He was in his element in the Windy City. Soaking up the culture and frigid temperatures. He later moved back home and started living life in Lacombe. He was a kind simple man. He proudly never went without a full time job. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports and the company of his family. He got the pleasure of working for his second family, Mrs. Janie & Mr. Ron. He was darn proud of the hard work he put into their restaurant and the bonds he kept with his coworkers. His face would light up when telling a story of his second family. Those kind folks were and will always be a God send for Robby. When Robby found out his niece, Peyton, was into WWE wrestling, he brimmed with enthusiasm. They would debate wrestlers over some Dominoes pizza and a pay per view wrestling televised event. Robby, Peyton and Brett made it to four WWE events in New Orleans including a Wrestlemania where the dome completely ran out of food before the main event match. Robby made sure he had a card with cash every year for Christmas for his two nieces: Madison and Peyton. Robby often went out of his way to make gifts for family. His focus on difficult puzzles was uncanny. Madison made her Uncle Robby a bracelet in his last months that never came off! Robby is the son of Wayne and Janet Talley of Houston, TX. He is the brother of Brett Talley, the only human he allowed to call him Bob; brother-in-law to Jessica Talley; brother to Brandi Hignite and brother-in-law to Kyle Hignite. He was Uncle Robby to Madison Hignite and Peyton Talley. Robby deemed Jessica as his eyes & ears as Jessica handled and coordinated all of his doctor appointments and medications. Jessica would run her brother-in-law to the grocery and his favorite eateries bi-monthly. Robby made it to the Silver Slipper casino for his fiftieth birthday where he indulged in crab legs, his favorite. After gleefully playing the slot machines, he walked away with money in his pocket. Robby was able to reconnect with his loving Mom and Dad in his final months before meeting his maker in paradise. Memorial Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA on Monday, August 4, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9:00am with the service to follow at 11:00am.
