Virginia Mocsary Obituary

Our beloved, Virginia “Gina” Mocsary, born on January 30, 1962, went to be with our Lord on October 2, 2025.

Gina was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and devoted Catholic. She had the most original sense of humor and a generous heart. In addition, she was a true animal lover, especially devoted to her beloved grand dog, Samson.

She is survived by her two children, Camille Mocsary (Jared) and Matthew Barone, Alexis Quinn, who was like a daughter; her precious grandchildren, Mason and Landon (Aaron Fletcher); sisters, Mary Mocsary Button (Tony), Cecilia Roberts (Foster), Patrice Staton, Marleen Mocsary; brother, Gregory Mocsary; as well as several nieces and nephews who loved and adored her.

Gina is preceded in death by her son, Sean “Adam” Mocsary; and loving parents, Josephine and George Mocsary.

Visitation will be at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, Friday, October 10, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 12:30 PM. A funeral mass will follow the visitation at St. Margaret Catholic Church, 30300 Catholic Hall Road, Hammond, Louisiana 70403, at 1:00 PM. All who wish to attend are welcome.
