Virginia Perry Obituary

Virginia, age 88, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Sunday, August 24, 2025. She was an avid reader, scrabble expert, she was also proficient at cutting down trees and splitting it for firewood. Virginia kept her grass and yard pristine every season of the year. Her favorite outdoor activities were fishing and crabbing. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who is already dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Angala Koenig; son, David Perry; sisters, Judith Haney, and Linda Comeaux; grandchildren, Joey Perry, C. Ludwig Koenig; four great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Virginia is preceded in death by her loving husband, Emil E. Perry; parents, Andrew and Elizabeth Watkins; sister, Carol Bodin; and one brother. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Foundation. RAGLEY, LOUISIANA Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 16816 Highway 171, Ragley, LA. on Friday, August 29, 2025 beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Jeffrey Starkovich will officiate, with interment to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
