Mrs. Heard will truly be missed. I worked with her at Oxford High for many years, and I most remember her love for children. She would send birthday cards and puzzles or books to the teachers' children to let them know they were special. I then taught Kyle and Blake, and I know how proud Alice had to be of the fine young men you are. May God bring you peace during this difficult time.

Heaven got another Angel when Alice Heard went Home. She was a wonderful lady and an exceptional teacher who truly cared for her students and their education. I learned a lot from her. She was a great friend and neighbor ( I grew up on Luttrell St.). She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time. May you find peace in knowing that she is and always will be looking over her children and grandchildren whom she so dearly loved.

Alice Heard was the role model for anyone in the teaching field. She cared about her student's in the classroom like they were her own. She was very kind, and her contributions to this world will be remembered by many! So sorry for your loss, but always remember her life did not end "it only changed". We will meet again, and will never have to say good-bye! Keeping you all in prayer, Janice Ezell Hammond
