Austin Maxwell "Hayseed" Dulaney Jr. Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Austin Maxwell Dulaney Jr. "Hayseed", 67, of Eastaboga, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with the Rev. Ernest Dover officiating. Burial will follow at Plum Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home. Mr. Dulaney died Saturday at his residence. Survivors include his daughters, Pamela Maxwell (Randy), Tammy Collins (Jeremy), Cathy Dulaney, Stephanie Dulaney (Stevie Bruce); grandchildren, Breanna Dulaney, Bella Dulaney, Jaylon Dulaney, Kaitlyn Williams, Joshua Collins, Randy Maxwell Jr. and Jessica Maxwell and his pets, Pooney, Fox 6 the two black dogs that he loved very much. Mr. Dulaney is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Sharon Ann Curvin Dulaney; parents, Irene Acker Dulaney and Austin Maxwell Dulaney Sr. and his sister, Harriet Malissa Dulaney. Pallbearers will be members of the Eastaboga Fire Department. Honorary Pallbearers will be Maurice Turner and Press Pope. Mr. Dulaney was a resident of Eastaboga and a graduate of Lincoln High School. He was Fire Chief at the Eastaboga Volunteer Fire Department for over 35 years and held various other jobs such as a farmer and a foundry worker. Mr. Dulaney was a loved father, grandfather and friend who will be dearly missed. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Tracy Sanders and Gentiva Hospice and all of his brothers and sisters of the fire service.
