Barbara Hannah Brown

Barbara Hannah Brown, age 75 passed away on April 18, 2022. She was the beloved daughter of Willard and Mattie Hannah. Barbara was a graduate of the Plainfield Public School system and Kean College. While in Plainfield, Barbara was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Upon moving to South Jersey, she was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church. A Master Teacher, Barbara was greatly loved and admired by her colleagues, students and parents. Her students were ever present to her and she would proudly say, "I've never forgotten a name or a face, even when I've met them as adults I know them by their eyes". Barbara was a voracious reader, a Temptation's fan, and a certified Elvis groupie. Barbara loved to knit, crochet, do cross stitch, crafts, tend to her plants and take cruises. Barbara was married to her soulmate and the love of her life, Sylvester Brown, Jr. for 38 years. As blissful as married life was for them, their love story was not complete until they were blessed with their much cherished and beloved son, Kristopher. Barbara was predeceased by her dear father, Willard. She leaves behind her husband, son, mother, her aunt Georgia and a host of cousins. Barbara has left a huge hole in our lives. The only solace being she is no longer in pain. The cares of this world are behind her and she is with the Lord. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, 10:00 AM followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 11 South Sunset Road, Willingboro, NJ 08046. She will be interred at the NJ Veteran's Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
