Bobby Gene Nelson Sr Obituary

Anniston - The family of Bobby Gene Nelson Sr., 75, will receive friends Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. The family will have a private service following the visitation. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Marion G. "Bonnie" Nelson; his children, Bonnie West (Steve), Bobby Nelson Jr., and Brian Nelson (Amanda); his grandchildren, Scott West (Brittany), Jeremy West, Patrick Nelson (Ashley), Allen Nelson, Brianna Nelson and Alex Nelson; one great-grandchild, Brendon "PJ" Nelson; one brother, Richard Nelson (Sandra); two sisters, Betty Davidson and Mary Hollis and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Ray Nelson, James Nelson, William Nelson Jr. and his sisters, Shirley Denham and Linda Nelson. Pallbearers will be grandchildren. Mr. Nelson was employed for 22 years as the head cook at Brach's Candy Company in Chicago, Ill. and worked for 28 years at the Opportunity Center in Anniston.
