Graveside service with Military Honors for Charles W. Bryant of Cedar Springs will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with his niece, Melita Bryant Childs, officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday at Mr. Bryant's home. Mr. Bryant passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at his home. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Renfroe and Annie Lou Bryant; sisters, Edith Bryant and Faye Ferguson; brothers, Morris Bryant, Duane Bryant, Ernie Bryant, and Donald Bryant; and nephew, Eric Bryant. Mr. Bryant was a life-long resident of the Cedar Springs Community. He was a long-time farmer, mill rite, and mechanic; and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Charles enjoyed seeing and being with his family. He loved sports; was an avid Alabama fan; refereed ballgames for twenty-two years; and loved to fish, hunt, and play cards. Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-eight years, Carolyn Bryant; stepson, James B. Homesley; grandchildren, Lioam Homesley and Alexandria Homesley; sister, Arlene Smith; brothers, Johnny Bryant (Juanita) and Mickey Bryant (Cathy); sisters-in-law, Linda Bryant and Pat Bryant; and several nieces and nephews. Charles loved his family and special niece, Melita Childs and special nephew, Eugene Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.
