Mrs. Edwina Truss

Services for Mrs. Edwina Truss, 69, of Lincoln will be Saturday, February 27, 2010, at 2 p.m. at St. Mary Baptist Church with the Rev. Everett Kelley officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery with Anniston Funeral Services in charge. The body will be at the church one hour prior to services. Mrs. Truss died on February 21, 2010 at UAB Hospital. Survivors include eight children, Tony Green, of Lincoln, Danny (Cecelia) Green, of Anniston, Lee (Rachel) Green, of Yorktown, Va., Curtis Truss, of Lincoln, Bervina (Fred) Sims, of Lincoln, Dallas (Michael) Truss, of Oxford, Tanza (Donald) Johnson, of Talladega, and Ella (Robert) Pouge, of Lincoln; one brother, Edward Curry, of Lincoln; five sisters, Florence Lemon, of Los Angeles, Calif., Mattie (Sidney) Mauldin, Virginia Curry, Gloria (Bobby) Lynch, all of Lincoln, and Brenda (Andrew) Woods, of Eastaboga; 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; two aunts, Ruth Fomby, of Cleveland, Ohio and Tommy Wills, of Lincoln and uncle Charles Wills, of Cook Springs; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Truss was a Lincoln native and a member of the St. Mary Baptist Church and was on the Pastor's Aide and was employed at Tyson's Foods until retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Annie Mae Curry, husband Lee Curtis Truss; two sisters, Blanche Curry and Mary Greer; brothers, Erskine and Ervin Curry; three grandsons and one nephew.
