Harry Sanders

A visitation for Harry Sanders, 91, of Munford, will be held from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at K. L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. Mr. Sanders passed away on October 19, 2018. Mr. Sanders was a graduate of the University of Alabama. He went on to work for Citgo Oil Company as a Regional Service Manager. He spent the last 24 years of his career as the Branch Manager of Thompson Tractor Company in Oxford. Mr. Sanders also established Sanders Christmas Tree Farm along with his late wife Ann Sanders. Mr. Sanders served in the United States Navy and was a World War II Veteran. Mr. Sanders loved people, was an avid golfer and Alabama football fan. Mr. Sanders is preceded in death by his wife Ann Paulk Sanders; his parents, Woodfin and Zula Sanders; and his sister, Elizabeth Sanders. Mr. Sanders is survived by a son, David Sanders and his wife, Donna; daughter, Cythi Sanders Longgrear; and grandchildren, Katie Sanders Richard and her husband, Chris, Adam Sanders, Lee Longgrear, and Amy Longgrear Allen and her husband, James. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Mr. Sander's best buddy, Lynn Wright Kimbrell, for her love and care over the last few years. Also, a special thanks to caregiver Nina Vincent.
