It hurts but its like everytime i cry she wipes a tear from my eyes and she was like a mom but also she was my cousin and she used to be soo much fun to be with and she helped my mom out and everyone else and she had an affect on everyone and i know its going to be hard, But imma be strong for you JJ and i love you and one day i will see you back in heaven.

Jasmine I remember the 1st day we met at Bear Creek Middle School. Only God knew we would become spiritual sisters. It hurts not to see you again, but I am rejoicing because I know you are with our Heavenly Father. Thank you for being apart of my daughter's and my life. You were indeed her favorite teacher as you know. I will definitely miss your beautiful face and smile. But I will see you again. Thank you for being the example I needed in my life. We love you. I recall my church visiting yours when we were younger and you always had the sweetest spirit with a heart on fire for Christ so I know (undoubtedly) that you now have your beautiful crown! It was/is a genuine Pleasure to know Jasmine and her family. To be in the presence a family so full of love and respect for each other was a blessing to be around. You surely felt that you were in the presence of love for God. Jasmine carried herself with a dignity and grace that shown for all to see. I know that she will be missed by all that knew her. There are people that touch the lives around them in such a positive and profound way that it echoes throughout the years. We had the distinct pleasure of knowing and loving this beautiful girl who turned into a beautiful young lady, inside and out. She was very inspirational to my family. To the family of Ms. Jasmine McGhee. I would like to offer condolences from the entire Burns family. Jasmine was a student at Alabama State University where my sister, Dr. Burns taught. We were so sad to hear of her passing and just want you to know that if you keep your hand in Gods hand everything will be alright. He will never leave nor forsake you. From what I hear and from what I have read she was a beautiful light that shined bright.

I'm the parent of one of Ms. McGhee's former students at Bear Creek MIddle School. In the brief time that she taught Chorus at the school, Jasmine had such a profound affect of my daughter. Her spirit was so genuine. I appreciate the gift of the time my daughter experienced with Jasmine and our family will pray for her family and friends as they mourn. Ms. McGhee was a breath of fresh air and an uplifting person to be around. My daughter, Imaijah Bernardez-Ruiz, had the pleasure of being her chorus student at Factory Shoals Middle School from the 6th grade until the 8th grade, and considered herself "The Teacher's Pet." My daughter would always have stories about how Ms. McGhee let her do the warm-ups on the piano and assist with various tasks. She really felt like she was her right-hand man. Truth be told, my daughter loved Ms. McGhee and I believe that Ms. McGhee reciprocated the same feelings. Furthermore, Ms. Mcghee taught my daughter to love music and encouraged her to always do her best.
My daughter is extremely devastated by the passing of Ms. Mcghee but, is also very grateful for the opportunity that she has had to be in her presence, underneath her wings. Ms. McGhee is a true ANGEL and will be missed by all whom she touched.
To the parents and family of Ms. McGhee, we thank you for blessing us with such a wonderful soul and we send to you our prayers of love, peace, strength, understanding, and encouragement.

I was extremely heart broken hearing this unpleasant news , and Ms.McGhee was the greatest music and chorus teacher of all time. She taught me so many wonderful things and aspects of life. If it wasn't for her i would still hate music , and she made music magnificent and enjoyable. I hope the McGhee family is okay and my prays goes to you. Ms. McGhee was a joy to know and work with. She will always be a lively person, who is full of smiles. Ms. McGhee loved music and she enjoyed her students. I was so shocked and heartbroken when I received this news. The first time I met Jasmine was at my church, Greater Faith Outreach, in Jacksonville. I was immediately impressed by her talent on the keys and her beautiful voice. Whenever I saw her she was always the same. Such a beautiful, warm, loving soul.
