Had an amazing experience with Kateina as students at The University of Alabama. It was evident she would lead the world in every aspect. We worked together in housing as RA's. We worked many nights on desk duty at Burke. I will forever cherish our relationship.

Katrina was truly a servant of the Lord. She shared that passion in all that she did for her community. Even through all the things she endured in her life she did not lose that passion in serving those in need. We will miss her friendship. She is with her family that have gone on before her. She is with our Lord and Savior. Rest in sweet peace my friend.

I give my condolences to Katrina's family. I met Katrina as a little girl going to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. As both of us grew up in the church, I had the pleasure of becoming very familiar with her basketball skills. Even at church, Katrina would have on her basketball shoes. Katrina was a high school honor roll student and my Sunday school teacher, Ms. Love, never missed a lesson where she did not remind us of Katrina's hard work of studies and having 4 years of perfect attendance at Anniston High School. Katrina, I know there is a basketball court with all of your favorite players waiting for you to make a shot. May the God of Comfort be with your family and may all the memories of your laughter and joy give them peace.

Ms. Katrina will certainly be missed. She was a dedicated servant for the needy and went way beyond what most do in caring for and feeding those in need. Not only did she minister through the Soup Bowl, but also, funded, prepared and served in Zinn Park every Saturday. Her rewards in heaven should be many. Prayers for her family, friends and Soup Bowl employees and volunteers.
