Kenneth W. Coker Obituary

Funeral service for Kenneth W. Coker, 65, will be Friday 10 a.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Donnie Sills officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 this evening at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Mary Coker; children, Mandy Coker Hopkins (Chad) and Dr. K. Jason Coker (Pamela); grandchildren, Emma Grace, Olivia, Anna Claire and Collin Hopkins, Liam, Owen and Reyna Coker; brothers and sisters, Donnie Coker, Ray Coker, Judy Knox, Elaine Neugin, William Coker Jr., Cheryl Ann Sonnier, Carolyn Sue Bell, Floyd Coker, Lloyd Coker, William Coker Jr., Sanders John Coker, Lindsey Coker and Thad Lee. He was preceded in by his father, William Coker; mother, Rose Mae Lee and brother, James Allen Coker. Mr. Coker was a member of West Weaver Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, graduate of University of Southern Mississippi and a former employee of Jenkins Munroe Jenkins Architects. Kenny was a loving husband and father who loved a good laugh and enjoyed picking on and playing with his seven grandchildren. His fight against diabetes will continue through our donations in lieu of flowers to the to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004 or jdrf.org.
