Dewey Ray Lowe

Funeral service for Dewey Ray Lowe, 79, of Ohatchee will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Leroy Brown and Rev. David Duke will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM. After the chapel service he will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Lowe is preceded in death by his son, Torrey Lowe; his parents, Ed and Alma Lowe; sisters, Elanor Adams, Pearlie Thomas, and Betty Faye Rickman.

He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Shelby Lowe; children, Rodney Lane Lowe (Carrie), Kelsy Delane Lowe (Amanda), Tiffaney Haynes (Bryan); grandchildren, Jacob Lowe, Jordan Lowe, Haleigh Lowe, Rodney Lowe, Jr., Aubrey Haynes, Zachary Haynes, Skylar Haynes, Joshua Lowe, Richard Lowe, Alex Lowe, Brayden Lowe, Konnor Mayfield, Kallie Mayfield, and Kinsleigh Mayfield; great grandchildren, Sadie Holloway, Addelyn Lowe, Jordan Lowe, Jr., Carter Lowe, Marleigh Lowe, Liam Garcia, Harper, and Rowen; brother, Carlton Edward Lowe; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Lowe, Aubrey Haynes, Jordan Lowe, Joshua Lowe, Zachary Haynes, and Alex Lowe. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Lowe, Brayden Lowe, Konnor Mayfield and Rodney Lowe, Jr.

Dewey was a member of Joy View Heights Church of God. He worked for RMC as a security guard for 42 years until his retirement. He loved to tinker and work on small engines. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching western movies and reading a good book. He loved his family and his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, a wonderful father and grandfather and will forever be missed.
