Funeral services to celebrate the life of Doris Elaine Dickerson, 71, of Oxford will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Brother Bob Prichard will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Anniston Memorial Gardens.

Doris passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Thomas; her sisters, Nancy S. Bruce and Eddie Louise Williams.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 50 years, Bruce D. Dickerson; children, Shannon Christopher Dickerson (Dana), Christy Lea Radney (Todd), Misty Lynn Landers (Tim); grandchildren, Ceanna Lorene Dickerson, Cody Rhett Fulmer, Kaylee Renae Radney, Trinity Lea Radney and Alexis Jade Landers; great grandchildren, Hayden Ramsey Fulmer and Adalynn Lorene Locklear; brothers, James A. Thomas, Bruce E. Thomas, Charles L. Thomas, and Gary L. Thomas; sister, Bonnie K. Shirley.

Doris was born on March 8, 1954, in Germany. She was a faithful member of the Oxford Church of Christ for 42 years and loved the Lord. She served in the church helping however she could and loved taking kids to VBS. She loved all animals, especially her own pets. She was a loving wife, grandmother, and great grandmother and loved her family with all her heart. Doris loved everyone and never met a stranger. Doris was an Alabama Football fan and loved watching the Crimson Tide. She enjoyed working in the garden, taking care of plants and loved to watch hummingbirds. To know Doris was to love her, she will always be loved and will forever be missed.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Shannon Dickerson, Todd Radney, Roger Yin, Tim Landers, Ronnie Nordan, and James Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Buster Hughes, Vance Moore, Tom McKleroy, and Louis Higgins.
