Lynn Seal Obituary

Lynn Ingram Seal, 76, passed away from complications related to cancer Friday, April 30, 2021, in Lexington, Ky. A Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Lineville Baptist Church with burial to follow at Lineville City Cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 12:00 pm in the Lineville Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. Born February 20, 1946, in Anniston, Alabama, Lynn graduated from Lineville High School and attended Jacksonville State University. She was previously a member of the Lineville Baptist Church before leaving the area when she married. She and her father, the late Earnest Ingram, shared a passion for the cinema, and her first job was working in the concession stand of her family's theater in Lineville. She loved accompanying him on trips to Atlanta to pick up the latest film from distributors in an era before television was commonplace and a trip to the movies often entailed not only a main feature, but also cartoons and newsreels. As a teenager, Lynn undertook additional roles to serve her community and church. She volunteered as a page for her uncle Judge Kenneth Ingram, who was at the time a member of the Alabama legislature in Montgomery. She met her future husband, Charles Seal, at the Shocco Springs Christian conference center in Talladega, Ala. Lynn and Charles married in 1966 and first lived in Troy, Ala., followed by New Orleans, La., for his college and graduate studies. After moves to Dallas and Chicago, they settled in Kentucky. Lynn enjoyed travelling with her husband for his work, including to Europe, but nothing pleased her more than returning to and keeping in touch with her friends and family in her beloved Clay County, Ala. Lynn is survived by her husband Charles H. Seal; her son, Jeffrey M. Seal, his wife, Mary S. Seal and their daughter, Adrienne E. Seal; and her mother Evelyn T. Ingram. Lynn's brother, R. Allen Ingram, passed away Feb. 22, 2021, and is survived by his wife, Marilyn. In lieu of flowers, the flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network (bcan.org), the National Fibromyalgia Association (fmaware.net) or a charity of one's choice.
