Nellie Vandiver Obituary

Funeral service for Nellie "Estelle" Vandiver, 77, will be Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 11 a.m., at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with the Rev. Wayne Gardner officiating. Burial will follow at Lloyds Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Ms. Vandiver passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Survivors include her daughter, Shelly Guice (Dwight); son, Byron Floyd; sister, Dorothy Brown; brothers, Wayne Gardner and Jerell Gardner; grandchildren, Megan Martin, Matthew Guice and Joshua Guice; great-grandchildren, Mariah and Madison Carroll and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, James T. and Hattie Gardner; brothers, Alfred Gardner and James L. Gardner and sister, Mary Sue Reaves. Ms. Vandiver was a life-long resident of Calhoun County and a member of Lloyds Chapel Baptist Church. Everyone who knew her loved her, and she will be greatly missed.
