Raleigh Gresham

Service for Raleigh Gresham, 82, will be today, September 21, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Burgess Austin officiating. Burial will follow at Piedmont Memory Gardens. The family received friends Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Gresham passed away Thursday, September 18, 2014 at RMC in Anniston. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Mildred Gresham; one daughter, Stacie Mobley (Scottie) of Huntsville; one son, Kent Gresham (Darlene) of Orlando, Florida; and six grandchildren, Halie Larson (Jared), Peyton Mobley, Kasie Mobley, Logan Mobley, Taylor Gresham and Victoria Gresham. Pallbearers will be Gary White, Peyton Mobley, Logan Mobley, Jared Larson, Terry Mixon and James Walker. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Ed Coogler Sunday School Class of the First Baptist Church of Piedmont. Mr. Gresham was a longtime resident of Piedmont and a member of the First Baptist Church of Piedmont. He was a U.S. Army Korean war veteran and retired from the U.S. Postal Service.
