Raymond Angel Obituary

Bishop Raymond E. Angel was born to the parentage of Mr. Quinton Angel and Dora Angel Davenport on November 13, 1952, in Randolph County Alabama. He departed this life on June 15, 2010 in Wedowee, Alabama. Bishop Angel accepted Christ at an early age, at the Oak Grove AME Church, where he served on many boards and positions, until God called him to do a greater work. On September 2, 1972, he was united in marriage with the love of his life Mrs. Rebecca Knight. Bishop Angel accepted his calling and pastored for over 21 years. During this time Bishop Angel touched many lives. He was responsible for building four churches. He pastured the following Churches, Grant Chapel A.M.E. Church, Calera, Alabama and St. James A.M.E Church, Goodwater, Alabama. After 15 years in the ministry, God gave him a greater vision, which elevated him in 2005 to a new mission. He took the vision that God gave him and with the help of his loving wife, they founded Paradise Mission Full Gospel Worship Center in Goodwater, Alabama. On April 11, 2009 he was consecrated to the office of Bishop. Bishop Angel leaves to celebrate his legacy, a loving devoted wife of 38 years, Rebecca K.
