Raymond Marks, Jr. Obituary

Funeral service for Mr. Raymond "Gas Man" O'Neal Marks, Jr., 79 of Ohatchee, will be held 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Wayne Dunaway will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Anniston Memorial Gardens. Mr. Marks passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at his home in Ohatchee. He is preceded in death by Raymond O'Neal Marks, Sr. and Rosa Belle Marks; brother, Michael Foster Marks; and daughter, Kellie Marks Middleton. He is survived by his son, Brian Marks; grandson, Jeremiah Middleton; great grandsons, Jeremiah Middleton, and Noah Middleton; sister, Sandra Marks Trantham (John) and Kathy Marks Hill; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Marks was a lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He served in the US Army Reserves and retired from the Anniston Army Depot. He was a very proud Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was an avid fisherman and Auburn football fan.Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Middleton, Troy Trantham, Matt Trantham, Brandon Hill, Grady Trantham and Anthony Stocks.
