Funeral service for Thomas Roden, 52, will be Sunday, January 17, 2016 at 2 p.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with the Rev. James Earl Pruitt officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant United Baptist Church Cemetery, 5259 AL Hwy 227, Crossville, AL, 35962. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. Mr. Roden died Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Fultondale, Alabama. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Roden, of Piedmont; his daughter, Lacey Louise (Kenneth) Huffaker; his son, Dennis James "D.J." Roden; two grandchildren, Heaven Maryella Rain Roden and Charlotte Madalyn Rose Roden; seven sisters, Bobbie Gail Crumley, Martha "Tootie" Burkett, Betty Sue Attwood, Kathy Roden, Deb Pannell, Linda Bruce and Vicki Duncan; two brothers, Roy Roden and Darrell Gordon; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Huffaker, Frank Whitmer, Gary Morton, Tim Pannell, Roger Henderson and Billy Glass. Mr. Roden was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He attended United Christian Church and loved to sing and play the guitar in his spare time. Mr. Roden was an avid Alabama Football fan. In his spare time he loved listening to Hank Williams and watching Perry Mason and Andy Griffith.
