Tony Pugh Obituary

A funeral service for Mr. Tony Lewis Pugh, 58 of Lincoln, will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Golden Springs Baptist Church. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Golden Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Pugh will also lie in state for one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Pastor Tommy Hays will be officiating with Bro. C.O. Grinstead and Mr. Michael Webb speaking. Mr. Pugh passed away on March 21, 2025 at his home surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife, Shelley Pugh; parents, David and Myra Pugh; brothers, Wade Pugh and Jade Pugh (Lori); children, Christian Pugh (Paige), Cortney Pugh, Kennedy Johnson (Michael), Kaleb Pressley (Kristen), and Kolby Pressley (Kaci); 10 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members that love him dearly. Pallbearers will be Michael Webb, Donald Turner, Gavin Mann, Justin Mann, Chuck Pinnix, T.W. Jackson, Ike Brown, and John Blue. Tony was born in Montgomery, Alabama on February 11, 1967. He graduated from Walter Wellborn High School and attended Jacksonville State University and the University of Alabama. Tony began his career at FabArc Steel and Supply, Inc. learning the welding trade craft, later gaining experience in estimating and project management. In 1989 he started as an Estimator DM, and in 2003 he served as PM Site manager of the Hyundai project in Montgomery, Alabama. From 2005-2007 he served as FabArc's Vice President of Sales, rising to Executive Vice President in 2008. In 2012 Tony became their President and Chairman of the Board. Under his leadership, FabArc was instrumental in projects such as: Boeing-SC, BMW-SC, Honda-GA, Hyundai-AL, KIA-GA, Mercedes-AL, Nissan-TN, Toyota-AL, and Volkswagen-TN. FabArc's efforts were commended by the John L. Sparkman Center for Missile Excellence, and Sys-Con's Outstanding 10 Years Service Award, Largest Contractor. He was active in supporting Oxford's creation of the JSU Shot Put at Choccolocco Park, the "League of Our Own" Park and the safety catwalk and Box Seating for the Oxford Performing Arts Center. Under his leadership FabArc has been an OPAC Box Seat Sponsor and show benefactor since 2018, rewarding deserving employees with priceless cultural experiences. Tony is also active on the ALEAF Board, which thanks local law enforcement agencies for their service to their community.
