Kelly Jo Mullen

1954 - 2022

Kelly Jo Mullen, age 67, went to her Heavenly home on March 25, 2022. She was born on December 15, 1954, to the late Richard and Elayne Mullen in Antigo, Wisconsin. Her parents owned a motel in Antigo, WI and Kelly would work helping her mother in the motel. At an early age, Kelly's had a love of horses, and she had several horses during her lifetime that she dearly loved and cared for. She was in competitions with her horses and won trophies and ribbons. Kelly attended school in Wisconsin and later moved to Melbourne, FL where she graduated high school. She went to college at Barry University and graduated in 1988 with a bachelor's degree in Professional Studies. Kelly Jo had several jobs throughout her life from driving a truck, engineering, and a quality analyst in medical software.
She moved to Union County in 2000 and designed, supervised, and assisted with building a barn, pole barns, large carport, and installed fencing around her property. She bred, trained, and raised Arabian horses. She designed and supervised the building of her home. Before her health declined, she was out mending fences, riding her horses, and driving the tractor. Kelly wanted her two horses, Kaltronna and Tron, to be well taken care of upon her death and arranged for a trusted friends to care for her horses. Kelly Jo had many friends that she thought of as her family. She was an avid Green Bay Packers and Florida Gators fan.
Services for Kelly Jo will be held on April 13, 2022, at 11:00am at Morningstar Baptist Church, 11250 W. County Road 18, Lake Butler, FL 32054 with Pastor Michael Divine officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 am at the church. Burial will be at Fort Call Cemetery under the direction of Archer-Milton Funeral Home, 386-496-2008 www.archerfuneralhome.com.
