AGE: 72 • Belmar
Al Kee, 72, of Belmar, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Al worked for many years at AT&T / Lucent Technologies in Holmdel before retiring in 2007. Al was an original founding member of the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh Club in Belmar. He was born in Medford, MA, grew up in Rockport, ME, where he was a graduate of Rockport High School, and lived in New Hampshire, Connecticut and Pittsfield, MA before moving to Belmar in 1978.
Predeceased by his father, Arthur Kee; mother, Gladys Kee; brother, Arthur Kee; and sisters, Norma Kee and Gladys Hunt, along with his brother-in-law Matthew Beaudoin. Surviving are his loving wife of 19 years, Renee (Beaudoin) Kee; sons, Mike Kee and his wife, Kathy of Union, ME, Christopher Kee and his wife, Lisa of Sparta; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Tracy Roddy and her husband, Dan, Lori Gelay (Matthews wife) and Patricia Kee; and his nephews, Shea, Brendan and his wife Erin, and Kevin Roddy. A memorial service celebrating Al's life will be held at a later date.
