Alex..........what a crazy guy! He lived a full life. He drove those little teeny hydroplanes at what seemed like 100 mph on the river in Pine Beach. I remember the double deck boat trailer and all the "neat stuff" that took place in our garage in Pine Beach. He always had some kind of project going on. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Growing up in the 60's with Alex: 56 Chevy, the J-77, Olds 88 with floor-box, Quicksilver lower units, megaphones, The Great Lamp Post Inn Caper, mixing fuel in my Dad's garage, the blue Fender Strat, the “Bucket”, an old Plymouth with a 55 gallon drum full of nitro methane sticking out of the trunk (with spigot) Lu-Lu and the Marlin, the Halloween Machine, garveys, The Adventures at the Wrenches Cavern, LOUD pipes and smoked clutches, Hannibal the animal, Danelectro Amp, the Chief. I can't go on, it was all so crazy and wonderful. If I only had a time machine! Alex will be missed but the memories will always bring a smile.

In 1962, Alex and I ran off to California in his Chevy convertable with a J class racing hydroplane trailing behind. Throughout the trip, we had our eye on the rearview mirror because Alex had many traffic citations which went unpaid. Exciting times back then, we were on an adventure.
Today, I am very sad to hear of his passing.
