WHEELER
AGE: 36 UNION BEACH
Alexander A. Wheeler, 36, of Union Beach, passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010, at home. He was born in New Brunswick. He was a self-employed painter; and was an active coach with youth soccer and boxing.
Alexander is survived by his father, Michael Wheeler Sr. of Jamesburg; his mother, Dianne Scocco Wheeler of Manchester; a son, Alexander M. Wheeler of Keyport; and a brother, Michael Wheeler Jr. of Marlboro.
Family and friends are invited from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16 at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; and 8:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17 at the funeral home, with a 9:15 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph R.C. I am trying to work something out for tomorrow, but in the event I can't make it to the wake, I wanted to make sure I offered my condolences to the Wheeler family. I am greatful I got to go to school with him and got to go to war with him on the soccerfield every weekend. I will always consider him a friend and unfortunately we were just planning to get together to see Alex Jr. fight. He was a very proud father. Mr & Mrs Wheeler, Mike and little Alex, if you need anything, I'd love to be there in Alex's name. God bless your family through this troubling time.

Diane, I am so sorry for the loss of your son, we lost touch many years ago and this is a sad way to retouch with each other, I remember Alex when he was younger, he was always a good kid.. remember all the good time with him. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I went to school with Alex. I have not seen him since high school, but I have always remembered him. His smile, his jokes and his caring of others. He will be missed. My heart and prayers go out to the family.

My dear, sweet friend Diane.....I cannot express how sad I feel for your loss. I will never forget Alex. I have such fond memories of him as a kid growing up on Herbert St. He always wore a smile, would go out of his way to be helpful and befriended my daughter Nicole through their similar circumsances. We will miss you Alex. Even though it had been a few months since we last saw you, Greg and I would still always laugh about the time that you tripped over and broke our baby gate. We all had some good times together. We just cannot believe you are no longer here with us, but we want you to know that we will never forget all of the great times that we did get to spend with you. Hopefully, we will see you again someday when you hopefully open up the gates for us in heaven. Our hearts go out to your family. May God help to ease your family's pain during this tragic time. I cannot believe you are gone, I guess the Heavens above needed some more angels because that's what you were. I'm glad we got to reconnect and confirm how much we did mean to each other. I just wish we got to have that drink together we were supposed to. I will never forget your smile and your goodness. Rest in Peace Al, you will be missed. To the Wheeler family, so sorry to hear this. Alex will always be remembered, having painted will al, and hung out with al. He was a great person. He loved his child and always talked him.
